There is a space in Jacksonville where I have spent a solid amount of time drawing rats. Tucked in Murray Hill, a small German speakeasy that feels more like a third space than a bar. Full of love and laughter and the usual chaos that ensues with the service of others. It became a safe space for me to meet people and create. Recently I had a going away party there as I’ll be moving to New York in a week or so, I had to create a rat to honor my time spent loitering in the beirgarten drawing. Prost rat is a love letter to the many nights doodling, loving and laughing with the best people. This is not a promoted post just much love for @buchnersbierhalle and the people there! In these trying times let loose a little.
All of the rat journals prints are officially up in my kofi shop. It took a lot of editing because my scanner didn’t recognize the colors on my earlier designs. I would work on color paper and the scanner would end up washing out the whole print with the background color of the paper. I finally figured out how to combat it though with a little photo editing. All of the originals from the beginning of the rat journals until now are officially available for purchase. All 35 prints!!!!! That’s a lot of rats to choose from #rat #art #illustrator #fun
